  My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Manisses for a mini vacation on Block Island and it was absolutely delightful. We will stay there again the next time! The hotel is in a beautifully renovated historic building, just five minutes walking away from the busy harbor area, with lovely gardens and views. The international staff runs the hotel and outstanding restaurant with a smile. Everyone we met treated us exceptionally kind and helped to make our stay even better. - The fabulous idea to explore the island on scooters came from our concierge! One night, we ate in the hotel restaurant, and the food - lobster risotto, haddock, wine - was absolutely amazing! The lobster risotto was so delicious and there was so much lobster in it that you had to look for the rice ;) The ambience was also wonderful. We dined outside in an intimate and romantic set-up of only a few tables surrounded by flowers, trees, and lights. This dinner was one of the highlights or our stay. A perfect experience all around! We hope to be back soon!

  The hotel Manisses was beautifully decorated and remodeled. The air conditioning was definitely a bonus and the breeze from our balcony made it a lovely place to stay. That being said there is always room for improvement. I feel the hotel could have been cleaner and better kept. I would also recommend water for hotel guests. Some rooms were small but the addition of a chair would have made our room more welcoming and convenient. I also would have benefited from one of those folding suitcase "trays" to stow my luggage. The restaurant downstairs was elegant and had excellent food, the chef should be commended, but the service was slow. Luckily we were on vacation so the two hour dinner didn't interfere with anything. All in all, while I feel improvements could be made, I would consider staying at the hotel Manisses again.

  We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Manisses. The rooms were immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. We did have to wait for about ten minutes for someone to arrive at the desk to check us in when we arrived. We also had breakfast up at 1661, but was charged full price even though I told them we were staying at the Manisses. Sadly, we had to cut our stay short due to the impending hurricane but the time we did have there was extremely relaxing. We would definitely stay there again!!
